As an Honorary Associate Professor at the School of Law, University of Warwick, I work with early career postdocs, PhD candidates and Masters students from a number of universities across the UK and Europe, including the University of Warwick, the University of Sheffield, the University of Birmingham, the London School of Economics, SOAS, University of London and University College London.

I support academics in developing their writing skills for publication in journals, policy briefs and primers, and theses and dissertations.

I provide training and editorial support for interdisciplinary research groups working on groundbreaking projects across law, development and social science, developing the skills and practices of academic colleagues to communicate their findings to the highest levels of government policy and global leadership.

Feedback from PhD students

When working on my Masters, returning back to study after a very lengthy break, I had jettisoned most of my essay writing knowledge, particularly with regard to grammar, word structure, and academic writing protocols. It was at this point that Is Andrews and her skills came to my rescue. From coursework submissions through to my final dissertation, Is went beyond the mere correcting of my work teaching me how to be a better writer in the process. I consistently scored top marks for presentation, grammar, and referencing as a result. Beyond the technical security that came with Is’s oversight came the assurance that if my arguments made sense to her they would work with my tutors. I would recommend her without hesitation.”
